WHAT NOW? WEDNESDAY

I can't believe it's already Wednesday again, you know?  Anyway, I hope that you, like me, are grannying along smoothly.  Here's today's fun Granny Square project idea: a belt!
Check out the tutorial here: http://myrosevalley.blogspot.co.nz/2012/09/granny-square-beuty.html  Hope you are all having a fabulous week!

Square #21: Mary's Square

Tools needed: size H hook, yarn needle, tape measure or ruler

Yarn needed: three colors medium weight (4) yarn.  I used 3 again because I was stash bustin’!

Skills needed:
chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet double crochet, treble crochet

Pattern:

Notes:  This is somewhat similar to that Four Hearts Square we did for Day 10 in that you add an item to the top of a created granny square.  SO you already know you can do it.  And this time it’s with a cute little flower.

Square #20: BLO Square

Tools needed: size H hook, yarn needle, tape measure or ruler

Yarn needed: one color, medium weight (4) yarn.  I actually used 3, which is not a huge variation, but I just had leftover baby yarn.

Skills needed:
chain, slip stitch, single crochet, double crochet

Pattern:
http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/blo-6-inch-square

Notes:  This one pretty much BLOs!!!  Hahahahahaha get it????  Because it’s all Back Loops Only for the most part.  Oh man, crochet humor. But seriously!  We covered how I’m a back loop only idiot a week or so ago, so you should be good to go.  I really enjoyed this one.

Check out my upcoming crochet classes!

Hey folks! Take a quick break from all that grannying and sneak a look at my upcoming crochet classes at Michaels.
Even more excitement is around the corner in July! I'm teaching a Tunisian crochet class. So first I have to learn it! Oops.

Square #19: Sunnierburst Granny Square

Tools needed: size H hook, yarn needle, tape measure or ruler

Yarn needed: three colors, medium weight (4) yarn

Skills needed:
chain, slip stitch, double crochet, treble crochet

Pattern:
http://www.examiner.com/article/free-crochet-pattern-sunburst-granny-square

Notes:  This is probably the worst photo.  But you get the idea.  And the photo on the pattern page is a thousand times better.  No real surprises with this one.  The treble crochet is a nice break from singles and doubles, and the sun pattern is bright and cheery!
