Square #48: Center Heart Square

Tools needed: size H hook, yarn needle, tape measure or ruler

Yarn needed: 3 colors medium (4) worsted weight yarn

Skills needed: chain, slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochetdouble crochet treble crochet

Notes: Okay, full disclosure, this square turned out really pretty badly.  It's got a very strange trapezoidal shape.  I made it while waiting for the Portugal/US World Cup game, and while it is certainly patriotic, it's a little broken, much like my heart was after that last second goal.  I recommend not making it when you're tense, and focusing on the pattern.  I cut it down some to make the size smaller.  I did the first seven rows, then changed to blue for row 8 and finished off.

As always, if you have any questions, comment below or e-mail me at crochetwithanna@gmail.com.
